Leaves tremble quietly
In the fatigued embrace of the dark
They read each other blank faces
Wordlessly, mirror their sorrow in that of another.
So many leaves
Some are green, some yellow, some discoloured
All tell the same story
As they dance to the same tunes
Green, red, a plethora of colours.
Gleaming away for a while.
Followed by a dark, ominous silence.
